No Clashes Between Citizens And Security: Governor

ADEN (Yemen), May 22 (Bernama)-- Some media outlets, led by al-Jazeerah Space Channel, escalate incidents and magnify them when they talk about killed and injured people in clashes between security forces and demonstrators here, said Aden Governor Adnan al-Jefri.

"No clashes occurred between security forces and demonstrators," Yemen news agency (Saba) quoted a speech by al-Jefri, which appeared in 26september.net. on Thursday.

"The country issued earlier a decision to avoid any clashes with demonstrators and not to give opportunity to those who stand behind unrest," al-Jefri said.

He indicated that some chaotic elements have conducted unrest and sabotage acts in al-Hashimi area Thursday. These acts wounded a number of citizens as these elements threw stones on them.

A citizen has been killed when armed persons of the demonstrators started shooting while they were grouping in a nearby building, stated al-Jefri. He affirmed that security forces have arrested a number of elements accused of agitating unrest and are interrogated to be presented to justice.
